The Dark Hour Collective - Pilgrimage walks
The first @thedarkhourcollective night walk along the Priests Way in March 2019 - a three and a half mile track connecting the town of Swanage to the village of Worth Matravers in Dorset. Like stepping into a portal through time, we followed the footsteps of a medieval priest who used this ancient track to reach his parishioners in both localities. As we walked in silence, our senses were sharpened and we could hear every step and smell the fresh Purbeck air and pungent manure. A gestural pattern started to emerge as we each took on roles such as looking at waymarkers and opening gates along the way. Our walk ended at the Square and Compass Inn in Worth Matravers.
